Here's what is flourishing at Jammu and Kashmir. With the hardcore efforts by the government and huge assistance from NABARD, the state has finally seen the fruitful results in its potato crops. These unique seed potatoes grown in the Ramban district are low in sugar content and have shown a drastic growth in the production rate. Moreover, they are less prone to diseases due to the weather that hardly needs any cold storage. Not only this, the seeds are being distributed all around to the hilly areas of Jammu to start sowing in January. And to boost the crop; seeds are also being brought from nearby states of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The crops would be harvested in around April and supplied all over.
